Brandon Capital selects Quantium to modernise fund accounting and streamline investor reporting

We are pleased to announce that Brandon Capital has selected Quantium as its front-to-back fund management, portfolio management and investor reporting platform, with an initial focus on fund accounting ahead of their 2025 year-end reporting cycle.

This partnership marks a significant milestone for Quantium as Brandon Capital becomes the firm’s first Australian client – an exciting next step in Quantium’s expansion across the Asia-Pacific market.

Brandon Capital is an Australian life sciences venture capital firm managing over AUD$1 billion AUM across six active funds. Focused on backing pre-revenue life science companies, Brandon Capital operates a structurally complex fund architecture with multiple parallel legal entities per fund designed to meet the needs of its concentrated LP base and cross-fund co-investment positions requiring robust look-through reporting.

Brandon Capital’s existing technology stack, centered on general accounting software and spreadsheets, had become a bottleneck. Closing the books each month and year meant hours of manual processing and a growing web of bespoke, out-of-system spreadsheets – the only way to manage the complexity of each fund’s structure. The model couldn’t scale, and with every fund raised, the risks embedded in those spreadsheets multiplied.

“As we’ve grown to six funds, the complexity of managing parallel entities and cross-fund co-investments outpaced what our existing tools could handle,” said Dom Marot, CFO at Brandon Capital. “Quantium gives us the structured, automated foundation to operate with confidence year-round – not just at year-end – and the scalability to support the funds still to come.”

By implementing Quantium’s platform, Brandon Capital will bring its entire fund operations under a single, unified data model. They will rely on Quantium for:

  • Fund Accounting: Automated GL entries, parallel entity management, and cross-fund investment tracking, replacing the fragmented general ledger system and spreadsheet workflow.
  • Portfolio Monitoring: AI-powered data extraction from portfolio company reports, with cash runway and commitment tracking tailored to pre-revenue life science investments.
  • Investor Portal: One-click LP report publishing and cross-fund performance dashboards, replacing Brandon Capital’s current manual data room process.

“Brandon Capital represents exactly the kind of institutional-grade complexity that Quantium was built to handle” said Susie Xiao, Sales Director at Quantium. “The breadth and depth of Brandon Capital’s investment operations is precisely where a single underlying database makes all the difference. We’re proud to partner with Dom and the team as they build the operational infrastructure to match their investment ambitions.”
